Our mission is to create the kind of school community where Teachers and Administrators can do their best work – and so can our children. We provide support for the Teachers in and out of the classroom. We help create learning opportunities for children and we try to build the kind of supportive, caring atmosphere that makes school fun.

GHS Families and Friends!  Join us one last time this school year in spoiling the entire staff at GHS during Teacher Appreciation Week!  We would like to thank our teachers and staff one final time this school year by providing “Grab and Go” snacks and beverages!

PROM

Prom is right around the corner on Saturday, April 20th.  The kids are getting super excited!  We want to remind everyone about AfterProm, the post-prom party sponsored by our PTA held at the Golden Community Center from 10:30pm to 1:30am. It is a FREE event for ALL Juniors and Seniors even if they do not go to prom. We need your DONATIONS to help make this event a success!  The suggested donation is $25.  There will be food, music, games and TONS OF AMAZING PRIZES throughout the night. We can’t wait to see everyone on the 20th!

Additionally, please consider VOLUNTEERING at the AfterProm Party.  We need help to setup and to run the various events.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

Reflections Art Contest UPDATE

GHS has 2 state winners moving to Nationals!
Two of our GHS artists have won the state level Reflections contest with their artwork and are now moving on to the national competition! Congratulations to Allie Neal, who won in the Visual Arts category, and Maike Drennan who won in the Photography category! National winners will be announced around May 1st. Congratulations to Anna Sweeney, Ashley Cummings, Brigitta Niedringhaus Schultz, and Lydia Vann for making it to State, and GOOD LUCK to Allie and Maike at Nationals!

We treated our teachers and staff (approx 100 people) to a wonderful Soup, Salad and Dessert Buffet during Parent & Teachers conferences. Thank you to all who contributed.

Reflections Art Contest

2022 GHS Winners

Thank you to all the students who participated in the PTA Reflections art contest this year! The following students’ artwork will be moving on to the Jefferson County competition:

Their artwork is currently on display in the library through next Friday (Dec 9), so please go take a look! Good luck to our contestants at the Jeffco competition!

The PTA awards up to five $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are PTA members in “good standing”. Here are the latest awards.
